Award-winning food and drink writer, one of the UK’s leading experts on food and drink matching, a contributing editor to Decanter magazine and the author of 20 books on food and wine, Fiona is hosting a night at RockFish with Mitch Tonks. This will be a fabulous 5 course special menu, each course being served with a different wine including the new blend from Mark Hix and Mitch Tonks, Tonnix. Fiona and Mitch will talk everyone through the choices of food and wines and how they make winning combinations. £60 a head. |

Pop in to the Seafood Market on a Weds morning at 11am for a FREE 15 mins introduction to fresh fish, we'll cover things like:
How to choose the best from the fish counter, what to look for.
When to buy, what is seasonal, trying alternatives, ask questions like what does John Dory taste like, which fish would be best for a paella?
What to cook, some handy little tips on fast suppers & impressive dishes with the best fish in town.
It's only 15 minutes so we won't cover everything every week but we're offering little nuggets of really useful information. Get some great ideas for what to cook for supper, how to cook it and how to choose from the daily fish counter; what spices go best with Sea Bass, can you bake shellfish, how do you know when shellfish is in tip top condition, how easy is it to fillet a whole fish at home? These are the sort of questions we'll be looking at every Wednesday morning at 11am. Please don't think we'll be pushing you to buy; this is all about giving you some really helpful information to better enjoy some of the best produce that we have on our shores in Britain; you may be tempted by what you see and inspired to cook something we'll be talking about , but we'll leave that entirely up to you.
